Sola5 is the student ministry of Hazelwood Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. Sola5 is for students in the 7th-12th grades and meets every Wednesday night from 6-8 PM. Our mission when we meet together each week is to “find who we are by discovering what Christ has made us.” We believe that the only way to truly get a grip on our purpose in life is to look at ourselves through the lens of Jesus Christ. Because of who Christ is and what he has done in our lives, we are not simply a bunch of individuals but a group, coming together to encourage one another as we live our lives for him.
The Sola5 name comes from a pivotal time in the history of our faith. 500 years ago, Martin Luther, John Calvin, Ulrich Zwingli, and many other men and women known as the Reformers stood up for the truth of God’s word in a time when the rest of the world, even the “religious” crowd, had cast that truth aside. We at Sola5 seek to carry their banner today, studying and living God’s truth in an attempt to put a telescope to the eye of the world that they may see our great God for who he really is. Enjoy browsing the site, and may you know the joy that a relationship with our great God brings.
Soli Deo Gloria,
